This morning I had a surprise: Snow! No, not as much of the white stuff as has been falling on the East Coast this week, and certainly not a blizzard warning — but enough to accumulate, and enough to change the view of the outdoors.
I went outside to see what I could see, and snapped a moment in time – snow bits hanging from a spider web – that would quickly disappear. I didn’t realize that this was an interesting picture until I came inside and uploaded it to Flickr. And then a friend offered to post the picture on a local television site’s Facebook page (cool.)
The lesson learned here is to practice habits. In the case of photography, you never know when you’re going to get the unexpected or amazing shot, but if you keep shooting, your likelihood of finding great things goes up.
