This experimental camera is an amazing advance in the field of photography. By placing a small light-sensing array between the CCD sensor and the main lens, the camera captures data for several potential photographs at once. In addition to the traditionally captured image, this design can reapply the metering information from other portions of the lens array to show an “alternate” image.
Altering an image is nothing new in concept to a photoshop user, but this camera is fantastic because it captures several photographic options at once. Don’t like the focus set in the foreground? Alter it by moving the focus to a different focal point. Neat stuff.
