Here’s a bigger version of the Shady Corners sign from Yakima, WA that I sketched quite a while ago. Drawing the sign carefully first made it easier to maintain the freshness of the earlier sketch while building bigger blocks of color.

Sad to see the state of post-hurricane Southeast

It’s very sad to see the state of things in the Southeast.
I’ve been following the Times-Picayune, now publishing again, and a fascinating blog of sorts at Tulane.
The best coverage I’ve seen has been from a blogger inside New Orleans. The Interdictor has provided level-headed, fascinating reporting for days.
