Thomas and his Day Out

Once again, we’ve visited the Temple of Thomas the Tank Engine and reviewed him in all his Usefulness. This time, the venue was Snoqualmie, WA, and the little engineers thought it was quite lovely. I’ve made a few drawings of these little trains for the sketchbook.

Watercolor and the web

I’ve found some gorgeous pictures lately simply by using google. Wikipedia is also a great place to start.
The Brooklyn Watercolor Society is a great resource for these images and an inspiration for anyone who wields a brush and dreams of greatness.
I particularly like Olive Reich’s chunky blocks of color in describing a Vermont doorway.
