I’ve been trying to figure out a way to make art every day.
Today, I started by trying to find some gems among the work that I’ve done. In the past I’ve thought of photography as a hobby rather than a potential source of good art, but looking at some work today I might have changed my mind. The best photographs tell you a story while maintaining a solid link to the artist’ s view of the world.
I don’t remember exactly what I was thinking when I took this picture of Fenway Park in Boston, but I’m guessing the idea was “classic American icon.” Looking at the picture a few years later, I’m still happy with the result. And with the new baseball season starting (and the World Champion Red Sox — I’m not sure I can believe it — taking the field with the other 29 teams), this image seems a good one to focus on for the season ahead.
